THE HISTORY OF THE SONY PLAYSTATION PS1 - PS5

Photo by Alfred Bonsu - Amazon When Sony released the PlayStation had no prior experience with consumers having never previously developed a game, let alone a console system; but the PlayStation ended up introducing 3D gaming to a mass audience and kick-started the video game CD-ROM revolution. Yet had it not been for a contract dispute, the “Play Station” would have been released by Nintendo as an add-on to their Super Nintendo console. Sony’s PlayStation 2 was released in 2000, but it’s still one of the most popular and beloved game consoles today. For many, it was the best game console ever made. So, what makes the PS2 so special? PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a home video game console created by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released in Japan and North America in November, 2006, and in Europe and Australia in March, 2007. When released, it was the world's most sophisticated video game console to date due to superior graphics... The PlayStation 4 has bee

DOROTHY STEEL - AGE DOESN'T MATTER

Image
Dorothy Steel who was born on February 23, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, USA started acting at 88. She worked for many years as a senior revenue officer for the Internal Revenue Service in Detroit. Her marriage to Warren Wardell ended with his death. After retiring in 1984, she lived for 20 years in the Caribbean, on St. Croix, before moving to Atlanta to be near her grandson and her son, Scott, who died in 2018. Ms. Steel began acting in her 80s in the annual plays staged at the Frank Bailey Senior Center in Riverdale, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta. She had never acted before “and wanted to try something new to see if she could do it,” said Elaine Jackson, the former manager of the center, who wrote the plays, including one in which Ms. Steel played a teenager. 5 years after her first movie, "The Trouble with Going Somewhere (2013)" she became popular all over the world for her role in Black Panther (2018). Who told you it was too late? And more importantly, why did you

THE MIRROR REFLECTION

Photo by Andre Mouton from Pexels If your mind and body doesn’t get along, then you are your biggest enemy. Someone will tell you, you are ugly, just to sell you something to make you think you are beautiful.  But beauty isn’t just a look. Beauty is internal. You internalize it.  Beauty is how you carry yourself, your personality, what you are.  You can’t go out into the world and ask the world are my beautiful? You have to tell the world you are beautiful.  You can’t wait for anybody’s else’s opinion.  The mirror reflects, it doesn’t define. The icing on the cake doesn’t change the inside. It just changes the outer surface.  But the outer surface isn’t important. The inside is what’s most important. Who you are on the inside, what you are on the inside, your talent, your potential, how special you are. So anyone in the world can tell you anything to manipulate you or to make you feel less of yourself.  But at the end of the day, what you think, how you feel, what yo

THE GRASS IS BLUE

Photo by: jean wimmerlin - Unsplash The donkey told the tiger, "The grass is blue."  The tiger replied, "No, the grass is green ." The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, so they approached the lion.  As they approached the lion on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"  The lion replied: "If you believe it is true, the grass is blue."  The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me, contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him." The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 3 days of silence."  The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating ′′The grass is blue, the grass is blue..."  The tiger asked the lion, "Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?"  The lion replied, ′′You'v

UNABLE TO FLY

Image
Photo by: Krzysztof Niewolny - Unsplash A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.  One day a small opening appeared as he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.  After a long time, it suddenly stopped making any progress, and looked like it was stuck. So the man decided to help the butterfly.  He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.  The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small, shrivelled wings. The man didn’t think anything of it, and sat there waiting for the wings to enlarge to support the butterfly.  But that didn’t happen.  The butterfly spent the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with tiny wings and a swollen body. Despite the kind heart of the man, he didn’t understand that the restricting cocoon and the struggle needed by the butterfly to get itself through the small opening were GOD’s way of forcing fluid from the bo
